From Duke Band

The flute section is easily the most bonded section in the band and boasts the best all-around attendance. Name an event on campus and chances are good that we were all there together. LDOC, Springternational, personal checks in K-ville, the list goes on. We were also the only section to welcome the men's basketball team home after their victory at Carolina, with the exception of one lonely clarinet. We care about our commitments, and we take section bonding to the next level.

An added bonus of the flute section - the option of switching to piccolo and watching everyone's eyes slowly water as you hit notes they never before imagined. Go ahead, give it a try. Nothing brings us more joy.
